Home of Jesse O. Covell and Margaret Edith Beck Covell, Scott Township, Steuben County, Indiana. Their children were William Gottlieb Covell, Walter Vilas Covell, Catherine Maria Covell, Rosalind Ernestine Covell Beard, Elsie Melvene Covell Butler, Margaret Madeline Covell Porter, Lyman Guy Covell, Lilah Louise Covell Sellers, Robert Jesse Covell and Alvin Beck Covell. All of the children were born in this house except Lyman who was born in Angola when the family lived in town, when Jesse O. Covell was Steuben County Auditor. This house was built by the James Ryan family, probably around 1880. This picture was taken December 26, 1990. |
