Fred was born at the old
farm home in Scott Township on August 31, 1877. He received
his early education in the common schools of Scott Township and grew
to manhood there. He was united in marriage to Ida Foster
(Aunt Idie) of York Township on March 6, 1897. Fred and Ida
made their home in York Township where they owned 114 acres of land.
